Feb 2008 - The Instructors at Rescue Concepts completed the first two classes with a combined Basic
Vehicle Rescue Technician Final. We had rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow; but the 45+ students had real life practical evolutions.

March 2008 - Instructors made the trip up to Grove City area and started Basic Vehicle Rescue classes for departments in the area. The class scheduled at East End Fire Station was moved to Jackson Center Fire Station because of the 70+ students who signed up. We are going to start another class in the next few months to train the remaining 30+ students. Special thanks to the members of Jackson Center FD for the hospitality!
April 2008 - After many emails and questions regarding the state's changes to the Basic Rescue Practices here's the most recent update. The new curriculum has been delayed by the State due to funding issues. We are going to start classes with the old curriculum, but we'll also add the Core information in the class. For those of you that contacted us for the Basic Rescue Practices Class we will be in touch.
May 2008 - Instructors completed Basic Vehicle Rescue classes for the East End Vol. Fire Department in Mercer County and the Bauerstown Vol.
Fire Department in Ross Township. Good work done by all platoons in the classes. Also special thanks to the Jackson Center Volunteer
Fire Station, and to Chief Marvin McAfoose for housing the East End event.

DuBois Fire Department in Clearfield County completed the Special Vehicle Rescue Course. Great work by all crews in the classes.

and the Special Vehicle Rescue Class for the DuBois Volunteer Fire Company in Clearfield County Pennsylvania. Good job by all the students in both classes.

May 2008 - The
instructors and students faced high temperatures and humidity to complete the Basic Vehicle Rescue Course for the Edgewood Volunteer
Fire Company in Allegheny County Pa. With heat indexes in the high 90's crews completed ten evaluations including basic access with
hydraulic tools to stabilizing stacked vehicles. Good Job Guys!

June 2008 - The instructors are back on the road again completing the Basic Vehicle Rescue Course in Elizabeth Borough
and the Vehicle Rescue Technician Update or VRTU at the Berkeley Hills Fire Station both in Allegheny County. Elizabeth Borough Fire Department was able to
break in their new rescue truck during the class.

August 2008 - West Deer #2 and surrounding departments completed the Basic Rescue Vehicle Course. Crews completed several evolutions from vehicle lifting to
vehicle roof flapping and fold down. The instructor staff would like to thank West Deer #2 for the hospitality and sponsoring the event.

September 2008 - Washington County Department of Public Safety sponsored a SVR (Special Vehicle Rescue) class hosted at the Ritcheville VFD.
Students completed several evaluations including driver entrapment to bus roll-over. Great work done by all in the class.
