Martin Baker
Marty's Emergency Services career began in 1991 as a live-in firefighter with the Monroeville Fire Department stationed out of Company 5. In 1995 he transferred
to Company 4 and progressed through the ranks to Captain before he retired in 2005. In 1995 he began travelling to Prince George's County, Maryland and running
with Station 28 as a ride-along. Marty is now a County Volunteer in PG County and runs with West Lanham Hills Volunteers (Station 28). He also volunteers with Berkeley Hills
Volunteer Fire Company (Allegheny County Station 247, Pennsylvania) as a firefighter and Ross West View EMSA as a part-time EMT/Rescue Technician. Marty became an Instructor in 1995
and was the driving force behind the founding of Rescue Concepts. He is currently a non-suppression Instructor for the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy, PA Department of Health
Rescue Specialist with the Pennsylvania Urban Search and Rescue Strike Team One (PA-ST1) based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Ed Carlino
Ed is currently working as a Paramedic for the City of Pittsburgh EMS. After a long and semi-nomadic career in the Emergency Services, Ed has ended up running with
the Morningside Volunteer Fire Company in Prince George's County, Maryland as well as Berkeley Hills Volunteer Fire Company in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Among other skills and
certificates earned, Ed has accumulated; EMT-P, Fire Fighter II and Fire Service Instructor I. In addition to teaching with Rescue Concepts, Ed is a Pennsylvania State Fire Academy
and PA Department of Health Instructor. Ed is also a member of the Pennsylvania Urban Search and Rescue Strike Team One.
Ed Davies
Ed started his career in 1985 at the Phoenix Steam Engine Company in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. After
transferring to the Monroeville Fire Department - Station 5, Ed became
an Instructor in 1992. Ed worked for ten years as the Rescue and Training Co-ordinator for Ross West View EMSA and is currently the A-Platoon Lieutenant with the Mt. Lebanon
Fire Department. Almost effortlessly Ed has gained many skills and certificates including (but not limited to); Fire Fighter II, Fire Officer I, Fire Service Instructor I,
Rescue Technician (both Vehicle and Rope), Paramedic. Ed is also a Pennsylvania State Fire Academy Suppression Instructor, a Department of Health Rescue and EMT Instructor
and an American Heart Association CPR Instructor.
Keith Jankowski
Keith joined Ross West View EMSA in 1999 after leaving High School as a certified CPR OJT and while attending EMT school. Keith was hired by Ross West View in 2002 and is
still going strong. In his off-duty time Keith is a Captain at the Etna Volunteer Fire Company (Allegheny County,
Pennsylvania) where he has been a member for seven years.
Among Keith's achievements are; Fire Fighter II, Fire Officer I, Fire Service Instructor I, NREMT-P and he is at home teaching vehicle rescue, rope classes NFPA Core 1006 and EMS.
Keith is also a Pennsylvania State Fire Academy non-suppression Instructor.
Jeff Kelly
Jeff is currently one of the Ross West View EMSA Supervisors. He has achieved qualifications as an EMT-P, Fire Fighter II, Fire Service Instructor I and is a
Pennsylvania State Fire Academy and Department of Health Instructor
Steve Kline
Steve is another Ross West View EMSA Supervisor and also a member of the Berkeley Hills Volunteer Fire Company (Allegheny County, Pennsylvania) and a Medical
Specialist with the Pennsylvania Urban Search and Rescue Strike Team One. Steve has achieved many certificates including Fire Officer I, Fire Service Instructor I and EMT-P.
Greg Porter
Greg is Chief of the Etna Volunteer Fire Company (Allegheny County, Pennsylvania) and the Assistant Director of Ross West View EMSA. Additionally Greg is a Flight Medic
for STAT Medevac, a Pennsylvania State Fire Academy Adjunct Suppression Instructor and a Rescue Specialist with the Pennsylvania Urban Search and Rescue Strike Team One.
Among the certificates Greg has amassed are, Fire Officer I, Fire Service Instructor I and NREMT-P.
Scott Story
Scott is about to graduate to become a career firefighter with the City of Pittsburgh. In a varied career, Scott has been an EMT/Rescue Technician with Ross West View EMSA and
a Deputy Chief with Berkeley Hills Volunteer Fire Company (Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. His qualifications include EMT and Fire Officer I
Ron Coleman
Ron is another of those Ross West View EMSA Supervisors as well as serving as a Squad Officer on the Pennsylvania Urban Search and Rescue Strike Team One. Ron is a member of
the West Lanham Hills Fire Company (Prince George's County, Maryland, Station 28) and Berkeley Hills Volunteer Fire Company (Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Station 247). Ron is
also a Pennsylvania State Fire Academy Adjunct Suppression Instructor. A few of the highlights of Ron's qualifications includes EMT-P, Fire Fighter II, Fire Officer II and
Fire Instructor II.
John S. Rowntree
John began his Emergency Services career in 1967 as a volunteer at Monroeville Volunteer Fire Company, Station 4. Holding a variety of positions over the years, John is
currently an Assistant Chief at Station 4. In 1975 John began working as an EMS Shift Supervisor in the newly-created City of Pittsburgh EMS. In 1980 John was promoted
to Rescue Division Supervisor and remained with Pittsburgh EMS until 1986.
John received an Associate's Degree in Fire Science and Administration and an Associates Degree in Nursing from CCAC. He is currently certified as an EMT, BVR Technician
and BVR Instructor and holds a license as an RN in Pennsylvania. John also has Fire Instructor I and is a Pennsylvania DOH Rescue Instructor.
Mike Allaway
Mike is one of the newest members of Rescue Concepts. He started his Emergency Services career as a member of PPG's Fire Brigade and Hazmat team and he is currently a Lieutenant
at the Allison Park, Pennsylvania facility. Mike is also a member of Berkeley Hills Volunteer Fire Company (Allegheny County, Pennsylvania) and has been in the Emergency Services
since 2000.
Certificates earned are Firefighter I, Fire Service Instructor I, Hazardous Materials Technician, Structure Collapse II.
Scott Garing
Scott began his career in 1998 as a Junior Firefighter with the Zelienople Fire Department. Ten years on and he is still at Zelienople as a Captain as well as
running with Berkeley Hills Volunteer Fire Company. Scott works for Ross West View EMSA as a Paramedic Rescue Technician. Some of Scott's certificates are NREMT-P,
Firefighter II and Fire Service Instructor I
Talo Capuzzi
Talo started his emergency services career while still in high school in 2000. Talo has served with a few fire companies in the area but has found a spot among the Live-In members of
Berkeley Hills Fire Company ( Allegheny County , PA , Station 247). Talo has also taken the long route in finding a home in EMS; Talo currently is a Paramedic/Rescue Tech
for Ross/West View EMSA in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. Certifications earned by Talo include, NREMT-P, Firefighter 1, Fire Instructor 1, and is currently finishing his requirements to
become a Non-Suppression Instructor for the PSFA.
